Teej is a generic name for a number of Hindu festivals that are celebrated by women mainly in Nepal and NorthIndia. Hartalika Teej welcomes the monsoon season and is celebrated primarily by girls and women, with songs, dancing and prayer rituals.
Indra Jātrā, most commonly known as Yenyā is the biggest religious street festival in Kathmandu, Nepal. Ye means “Kathmandu” and Ya means “celebration”, together it means “celebration inside Kathmandu” in Nepal Bhasa. The celebrations consist of two events, Indra Jātrā and Kumāri Jātrā.
